Please, don’t be a stranger! Feel free to register and share your own acronyms.
Why register?
You get a personalized author page where website visitors can focus on your contributions, if they wish. Visitors can also:
- Read your biography.
- Visit your personal website.
- Subscribe to your author feed.
Registering takes less than a minute! Simply choose a username and enter your email address (it’s only used to send you an auto generated password).
Details
Once you receive your password, login from the main page, and enter your profile information:
- Your real name (optional but preferred).
- Nickname.
- Biography (a few lines about yourself).
- Your (favourite) website link.
- Choose which name to use and display on Acronymville (real name or nick name).
We never publish your email address here in order to protect you from spam (if you prefer to have it visible, simply enter it in your bio).
Please note that your posts will be moderated for spam protection reasons in the beginning. Your (nick) name, bio, website link and author feed will therefore only be visible after your first acronym has been approved.
Inactive accounts will be deleted at the discretion of administrators. However, your contributed acronyms will remain on the site (with a credit to you).
If no acronyms are posted within 24 hours after an account is created, it will be assumed that the registration was a spam one and it is deleted. Author profiles with links to commercial and spam sites will be deleted without mercy.
Once registered, please click on the post acronyms link on the page for simple guidelines on content and formatting before posting.
Any material you post should be your own creations. Posting copied (copyrighted) material will result in your account being cancelled. You of course retain the copyright to your own material that you post here. By posting your writings at Acronymville you are merely allowing it to be displayed here, in the context of the site.
Looking forward to your creations. Have fun.
